  1. (Foreman) Jiayu - I think the final verdict is more equal because everyone voted without bias. I still believe justice was served because even though Juror 3 had bias, he changed depend on evidences at the end. As a foreman, I follow all evidences to decide the boy is guilty or innocent.

  2. LingSheng - (Juror 12): I think the final verdict was fair because if not fair, the verdict cannot by 12 jurors to decide. I believe justice was served, because he will not be biased against a person, and casually verdict. As a juror, I think they said is right, the boy was not guilty.

  3. Xiao (Juror 8) I think the final verdict is just and clear because we can not have a bias to judge that the boy is guilty or not. I believe justice was served because if some one do not follow the it that they will do some terrifying, and we are a jurors that we must follow it. As a juror 8, I think we must to prove every evidence and witness's testimony again and again, because we can not convince by what they say, we must take this case seriously.

  4. Chenyun Junior 7: The verdict is justice. After an argument with the reasonable evidences, the junior made the most fair decision to the suspect. Although most of the junior voted guilty at the beginning and only junior 8 voted not guilty, they still need to discuss this case and decided if the boy is guilty. I think the justice was served because they junior cones from different classes and they have different point of view to deal with the case. Every defendant deserves a fair vote with reasonable evidences. During the discussion, Junior 8 referenced that the evidences given by the old man and the woman weren’t believable because he intimidated the case then he found the old man’s evidence did not fit the fact and so as the woman. As a junior, I changed my mind when most people changed their minds, I only wanted it ends as soon as possible.

  5. yuheng-juror #5:I think the verdict was trust because they were analysis all evidence than get this answer. I'm not really believe justice served, because sometime like bias and some problems would be effect the justice to get a verdict. The verdict was we are analysis all the evidence get it,they point out the boy wasn't kill his father. I was a juror I must be responsible for justice without the bias, however I was flow the elders.

  6. WanChang-Juror 6: I think the verdict is righteous and impartial. Justice was served in this decision because there was no bias and fudge, and the outcome was make by the evidence. During the discussion, Juror 4 had bias on the boy and people live in slum, so he voted for guilty and believe those people used to kill others like that. In addition, juror 7 changed his vote from guilty to not guilty since he wants to end the discussion. This was not responsible and foolish. Therefore, Juror 8 refused his vote and force him to come up reason. In the end, they all convince by the evidence and changed their though. Therefore, I think justice was served. As a juror, I believe the boy was guilty for sure in the beginning and middle of the discussion , but as more evidence support the boy might not murder his father and that created the reasonable doubt in my mind, then I changed and voted the boy was not guilty.

  7. Kimmi- Juror #10. I am not justify about the verdict because some people are voting by the big group instead of the fact. For example, juror # 7 vote for innocence because he want to leave here early to watch the game (Page 26 ) while Juror #11 ask him he was speechless to answer why he vote for innocence, therefore, I believe Juror #7 is our sides. As this point, I consider the verdict is still controversial about justice rather served or not because people are still not awake about what they suppose to do. People make the decision base on will it affects their business or not then they make decision rapidly. In conclusion, as a juror I know I should throw my bias away but in this case seem all the witness gave the perhap true evidences, therefore, it proves slum’s testimonies are no believable. Although Juror #8’s possible guess enough to defense the primary evidences, I still believe the kid is guilty.

  8. Wenting - Juror #4: I think the ultimate verdict is justice because jurors votes are based on the evidences and is not depend on their bias. I believe justice was served. If without juror 8, the outcome definitely would have been different. Juror 8 uses evidences to let the other jurors changes their mind to vote not guilty. Especially juror 3 is the last person change his vote since he said he will never change his vote from guilty to not guilty. As a juror, I believe this boy is guilty in the act 1 and 2 because "he's a product of a filthy neighborhood and a broken house, the children who come out of slum backgrounds are potential menaces to society." However, In act 3 when juror #8 use direct evidence to shows to me this boy is not guilty, I'm convince.

  10. Huan Liu Juror 8: The final verdict wasn't made out easily but is truly an impartial and responsible decision for the accused boy's life. In terms of the boy grows up in a slum and "has been kicked around his life", it would be a huge tragic event for him to die under false testimonies and biased judgments. But thankfully, juror 8 is a person who has a sense of mission to make the justice served. I believe the justice was served because, through juror 8 's analysis of the exhibit knife, walking-test, discussion of wearing glasses or not and the analysis of the possibility for the old man to hear the boy's voice, almost all of the rest were convinced and sincerely changed their decision into "not guilty". Not only the verdict is impartial, but also all the jurors ultimately believe the boy is not guilty with clear understanding of the case. As juror 8, I feel there's no absolute credible evidence for me to decide if the boy is guilty or not in the first round of voting. But while I was analyzing the testimonies practically, everything gradually pointed out the truth which is the boy cannot be guilty. Therefore I felt I must reveal everything to everyone else to get justice served and thank God I finally did.

  11. Ian Wang- Juror 6: I strongly believe that the verdict is impartial, and justice is served. The reason why I feel this way is that in the beginning of the deliberation most of jurors vote for guilty without any reasonable testimony. “The children who come out of slum backgrounds are potential menaces to society.” From Juror 4’s saying readers can notice that Juror 4 has bias on the children who live in the slum. Unfortunately, the boy lives in the slum. Also, Juror 7 says that “This better be fast. I’ve got tickets to The Seven Year Itch tonight.” It delivers readers that his vote is irresponsible. There is no doubt that their guilty votes are invalid. Juror 8 realizes it, and he provides the evidences to support and prove that the boy is not guilty. Even though some jurors are still arguing, everything gradually point out the truth which is the boy is innocent. Jurors all change their votes to innocent in the end. As a juror, I vote the boy is guilty in the beginning of the deliberation. However, after more evidences come out and prove the boy is not guilty, I change my mind. I vote the boy is innocent.

  12. Ka Shing (Juror 9): "I believe that the verdict is justice because those jurors include me changed their attitude in the final voting. At the beginning, we were voted to guilty except number 8. However, we changed our voted based on the case had doubt.

  13. Godspeed Zhu (Juror #9): I think the final verdict in the 12 angry men end up with "Not Guilty", and justice was served in the decision without bias and fudge. However, expect juror 8 because he is the one who had changed his vote as not guilty in the end, and recalled his old past memory from this trial experience, so that made him changed his vote. Even though in the half way those jurors could not come up with a decision, but finally they had solved this problem together without any bias, including the juror 8. So from this point of view that we could tell the justice was served as well in the end of the trial.

  14. Vincent Chen (Foreman): I consider the final verdict is persuaded and I also think the justice is served. Because one, the juror's reasonable demands are satisfied, for example, juror 8 asks for the diagram of the house, the several times of voting and the knife; two, all jurors have fair chances to express their reasonable doubt; three, most of the jurors are convinced, except juror 7, 3, and 10, juror 7 considers nothing and he just cares about leaving; juror 3 changes to not guilty because other jurors ignore his biased speaking which makes him frustrated; juror 3's heart is weak that he can't hold the pressure from others with himself. I, foreman, change from guilty to not guilty depending on majority.

  15. Jinchao Juror 5- The verdict is acceptable and the justice is severed, because everyone had reasonable doubt in their mind. In the beginning, It was very tough time for me to raise my hand for guilty since the majority were vote guilty. In the end, I am so glad that Juror 8 had convinced us that accused is innocent, because I might feel guilty when I am became one of reason of man's dead, because I am timid.

  17. HuiYan - Juror 7 : I think the final verdict is impartial and the justice was served, since the vote is based on the evidence which is the reasonable doubt that raise by the juror 8. Even though in the beginning the jurors have the prejudice against the boy that vote for guilty, after the juror 8 prove the evidence to persuade them, they all change the opinion to vote for not guilty without any bias which mean the decision is ground on the evidence. As a juror, I change the decision when there have half juror change their opinion to vote for not guilty, as long as the vote can end up early that I can go to watch the show.

  18. ChiTak Juror 2- In this case the verdict is being a fair trail. Also, justice is severed, because Juror 8 tell us we can have personal felling in this case, like we can't do this job like Juror 4. He just want the boy die. I think I have heard enough evidence. In the change over the course of deliberation. I think everyone agree with Juror 8 have a reasonable doubt, and everyone agree with it.

  19. MeiQi Lin (Juror 3 ): I think the final verdict is partial and justice was absolutely not served. Apparently, the I didn't mean to call my vote as innocent. Juror 8 kept asking rhetorical questions, like "Could he?" "wouldn't you say that?" to mislead the rest of the jury.Throughout the whole deliberation, I've never change my mind to point out the fact that the boy is guilty.I would've save my vote and announce a hung jury, because it has to be unanimous, but I just don't want to waste any time here. These people are full of empathy, it blinded them and make them to stand on the wrong side. What could I do with that? I tried to talk them through, but they insist and accused me to be the one who has bias. They just let the little baster spared.

  20. Juror 2- Manni - I think the verdict is justice, so justice is severed. Before I also thought the boy is guilty. However, after the prove of Juror 8, I changed my decision. He gave us the analysis, and he prove the old man cannot go to the door 15 seconds. He also gave us a good experience is that sometimes people would said I'm going to kill you just because they feel angry, but it doesn't mean that they will really kill somebody. I heard the great ideas from him and I totally agreed with him. I'm the person who is hard to make a decision, but I found that this thoughtful man enlightened me. And I voted it not guilty I follow the justice.

  21. WenChun( Juror 3) _ I think the final verdict is fair, the justice is served. because every juror vote without bias. Before, I was thinking this boy is guilty because all the evidences fully prove his case, and in my mind, I think he is guilty. Juror 8 was using his thinking to against my idea, which is he think the boy is non guilty, After those juror changed their voter to non guilty, I still vote for guilty, because I'm the one of "them", which is personally wants boy die, this is so evil thinking occurred in my mind. Finally, I changed my vote because I can't doing this with bias and I can't jading a innocent boy and let him die.

  22. JianMing(juror 6) I think the verdict was justice and justice is severed, because we discussed the evidence seriously for a long time. At the beginning of this case, I convinced the boy is not guilt. Juror had bias about people who comes from slum, so he vote for guilt. Juror 8 was angry about juror 7 because he changed his vote for a unforgiveable reason. Juror 7 changed his decision to voting not guilt frome voting guilt. At the end, we all vote for not guilt because we discussed every single evidence seriously.

  23. Marian Juror 3: I think the final verdict was the hardest thing to make for all Juror’s. Because in the beginning of the text all 11 juror’s voted guilty, and one voted not guilty. The second time when they were voting, the result was equal 6 guilty and 6 not guilty. As we can see after second vote half of the juror’s changed their minds. The final vote was 11 not guilty and 1 guilty, so as we can see most of the juror’s voted that he is not guilty, but my point of view that he is guilty. However as I’m juror 3 i think everybody has their right to vote, and make deliberation. “Finally she turned toward the window at about twelve ten and as she looked out, she saw the boy stab his father.” Throughout this quote we have witness here who saw everything, and saying that the boy is guilty. I’m trying to say that maybe I’m wrong, but said my point of view already and I'm not going to change my mind.

  24. Jessie - Juror4: I think the verdict is just and fair, I believe justice was served. At the beginning, most of us including me had bias on the Defendant and voted guilty without deep discussion. Thanks for the Justice System, every juror has the right to come up their own ideas. The situation had changed since No.8 voted innocent. Our insistence and his reasonable doubt brought the specific analyzing about the case. We were finally convinced and reached consensus to vote innocent.

  25. Mingxing- Juror11-- I think this verdict is fair. I believe justice was served. In the final decision, jurors voted without bias. In the beginning, we voted that boy as guilty without any logic thinking. It's including me. I just voted with same bias. "It's not easy for me to raise my hand and send a boy to die without talking about it first." When Juror 8 said that, I started to think about the boy is guilty or not. As Juror 8 provided more and more evidences that can prove the boy was not guilty. I changed my vote.
